Default Question about seasoning

So a while back I coated a bunch of steak and pork chops with seasonings and then vaccuum sealed them and froze them. Well, this one seasoning blend (pepper/garlic rub) was just in a container in my cupboard. I think I had bought it in bulk quite a while ago. Anyway, I fried up some of the pork chops tonight. They are gooood but I noticed that the outside coating was a little sticky. Kind of stuck to my teeth as I was chewing. Made me wonder if there was sugar in that rub. I really wanted another one but I didn't want to chance it. Do you guys think that the stickiness is from a sugar or could have something else made it sticky?

It's very possible. Any seasoning that's already mixed should be checked...kind of hard when you bought it a while ago. Hopefully it wasn't sugar, and if it was, hopefully you didn't have too much to have a real effect.

The other day, I sprinkled some lemon pepper on my baked fish... not even thinking about it. On a whim, I looked at the ingredients, and there it was...

Oh, isn't it a shame they have to put sugar in EVERYTHING!
I didn't seem to have any effects from it. Usually if I just have a bit of sugar, I'm craving all night so hopefully that's a good sign
