| In my fridge at the moment, bagged fresh salad mixes, like romaine and baby butter, fresh strawberries, bags of sliced portabellos, some white mushrooms, fresh green beans for roasting, red onion, turnips, celery. Broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts in the freezer, those are staples. I ate all the radishes!

| i will have to try those radishes! i had a couple of terra chips the other day and they were good--i will have to try to make my own. this is funny about what the fridge looks like because i was thinking the other day when i opened it that it is full of FRESH things--simple and uncombined things! makes me feel good about myself just to look at it! for a while i was getting bored and frustrated (never good when you're trying to lose weight) with the food rut i'd gotten into after the first six weeks, so over the last couple of days i made a note of recipes in the back of dandr2002 that i wanted to make. went shopping yesterday and my outlook is much improved. that, of course, could also be a result of FINALLY dropping 3.5 pounds after losing nothing since induction. but honestly, the colorful choices when i open the fridge are truly motivating. think like a think person, right? so yesterday i stocked up. i have avocados, fresh crab meat, fage yogurt (there IS a god), tomatoes, celery, spinach, watercress, calabrese salami, sunflower seed butter, tahini (sesame seed butter--the stuff they make hummus with), green onions, red onion, salmon, ground turkey, basil, tarragon, ricotta, sour cream, celery, asparagus, chicken, tuna, strawberries, blackberries, baby lettuce, eggs, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh jalapeno sausages, roasted red peppers, cauliflower, cream, flaxseed, cucumber, and cream cheese. this reminds me of that show where a famous chef knocks on someone's door and has to whip up dinner with the contents of their fridge. wouldn't the chef be happy to see US???

| My fridge looks good too. I always keep cooked chicken and another cooked meat so I can grab and go if hungry. I love raw peppers and cauliflower on the quick too. I keep cheeses and SF jello. It's great. And I am satisfied with my stock too- very important! (((lisa)))

| it's been a few days since I've been to the store so the fridge isn't as full as it was but: radishes, lettuce, roma tomatoes, green onions, brussel sprouts (fresh & frozen), spaghetti squash, chayote, jimaca, turnips, pumpkin, green beans (fresh & frozen), broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, red cabbage, green cabbage, cucumbers, celery, green pepper, zucchini -- plus all the meats & cheese we have....I just listed the vegetables. It's amazing to sit down to several vegetables on my plate and a small amount of meat instead of larg pieces of meat, potatoes & gravy and maybe green beans or corn.....oh...and cornbread or bread & butter....I LOVE THIS WOE!!!

| In my freezer is chicken, fish (2 types), steak and shrimp. In the fridge is eggs, cheese, pumpkin, string beans, cabbage, lettuce, pakchoy, zuchinni, peppers, onion, cucumber, brocolli, lots of water (lol), milk, nuts (I am not at that stage yet but my friend gave me some macadamia nuts last Thursday and I cant wait till its time to add them..plus I had almonds and peanuts from before...didnt have to get rid of those since I knew I would be needing them soon. I make myself so proud everyday when I realize I can actually resist them...granted they are hidden in the crisper since my vegetables occupy the major part of my fridge now.) There may be more vegetables in there but I am too lazy to go and check...I am reading ADBB posts and since I am an addict to that now its hard to pull me away from my laptop. |
