| Mine dipped down to 72 when I was still on metformin. I would suggest eatting carrots as a higher carb item. |

| the few times it has happened to me I didn't eat enough at lunch, done a strenuous workout and was in the high 60's or low 70's. I drink a glass of water, and eat celery, or a few radishes, wait a few minutes and my blood sugar goes back up enough that I don't have those feelings. I have learned to eat properly if I'm going to work out afterwards...a salad doesn't hack it. I'll tell you what my Uncle was told - drink 8oz of Orange Juice and 2 Nilla Wafers.

| I've had hypoglycemia for about 25 years... when I get the shakes and stomach cramping and I know I've gone too long without eating, 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter works real fast... |

| Peanut butter is good. The best way is to graze all day. Eat 5-6 times a day and eat a protein with any carbs you ingest. If you are going to do heavy exercise, eat a real meal an hour or so before and eat immediately afterwards too. |

| Grazing all day is really the best way to keep it in check. Try keeping a ziploc baggy with assorted meats, cheeses and tomatoes with you and snag a bite or two every now and again. Whatever you do, don't go more than 2 hrs during the day, without eating something...especially if you're active. |

| I usually tend to go for something like a few string cheese sticks, I find that if I use sugar to bring up my blood sugar, it drops it very low not too long after. So if I use protein to bring it up, it usually lasts a while. Sometimes it takes a little bit to come back up, I hate the feeling of being all shakey and nauseous, but it does keep me up longer. Although, since doing this program I've not had any problems!
