This question has been answered several times over the last week. No, you can't eat American cheese. It has to be aged cheese, which American is not. American is processed cheese food, and some doesn't even have any dairy in it.

Processed cheese food without dairy. You make it sounds so delicious  Anyways - you can have all kinds of real cheese though but not the soft ones like cottage cheese and ricotta. Those you can add on rung 2 when you can add yogurt as well. So no American cheese.

if i wouldve seen the thread where this question was answered i wouldnt have asked. but thank you you for the answer. i have been eating american cheese in my eggs so i better cut that out.
