| Congrats, you are in ketosis. Appetite suppression is a side effect of ketosis. It's really important now to not go more than 6 waking hours without eating, as Dr. Atkins wrote.

| Yeah someone else said that to me...I keep blabbering because I am amazed at that. I have NEVER been like that. I have always been able to mindlessly eat. This is like ok,,,,go eat,,,you need to but here are the healthy things you can have. MY Induction flu...outside of a little tiredness has subsided and I am cleaning the house like a mad woman this afternoon! Whats up with that??

| I'm on day 4 of induction and have the same "no appetite" feeling. I ate a 0 carb cheese snack earlier even though I wasn't hungry cause I knew it'd be more than 6 hours since breakfast if i waited til lunch. Needless to say lunch came around and I wasn't hungry again but forced myself to eat. I've read it's bad to skip meals, so I'm trying not to. I feel like I'm more energetic in the morning than in the afternoon. I'm eating and drinking a ton of water, but as 3pm comes along, my eyes start to drag....I guess it's just my body adjusting and thats fine with me!

| I am on day four and I feel exactly like that, too. I am just not too hungry. I did eat, though. What a great feeling.

| I am feeling like that too. I was just sitting here at my desk reading posts, and at the same time thinking I should probably go have a piece of deli turkey or something, always around 3pm I would get sluggish. But amazingly, I'm not! This is my 3rd day on Atkins....my appetite is really nothing at all compared to what I used to eat!! I think I like this! I am also taking my supplements/minerals, so that could be helping as far as energy. And like chgomom I am cleaning frantically in the evenings after the kids are in bed. Usually I turn in with them. Last night I cleaned the house and after sat down for some hot tea, no sugar added, and watched a little TV. I NEVER was able to do that. I mean, my husband has been telling me that I don't have to do so much, he'll take care of this and that. But I've sooo been in the zone I tell him that I don't have time to wait on him!! It's been a good few days... |

| That is great to hear! Food in no longer one of the main things on your mind. I am going thru the same feeling and it's the best. I have to remind myself to snack a little since skipping meals is never good. Drink lots of water, eat legal foods and you'll go down in size significantly and feel much better! |
