| Of course it depends on the brands you are using. If you are using a brand of _____ that has 6 net carbs per serving, while hers has only 3 net carbs per serving, the carb count for your meal will be off. But since you know the recipe, you can compute the nutritional info using the labels on the foods you buy.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | I would suggest always working out the carb count for your own ingredients for any recipes. I use fitday pc where I can drag the ingredients into a custom recipe entry but you can do a similar thing using the online free fitday account - just select an 'empty' day and add all the ingredients then note all the total numbers down for the whole recipe. I make a note not only of the fat/protein/carbs etc but the vitasmins and minerals too as I like to keep an eye on my RDA% of those. Make a custom entry for the whole recipe using the numbers just worked out and say how many servings it is for. Then when you use that same recipe you can easily enter how many servings of it you ate. As Georgiana said, different brands can be immensely different, so always go by your own labels if the food has one.

| I think Linda Sue does a very good job trying to get that nutrition info right. It never hurts to double check though. I have copied down recipes from the net where the nutrition info is way off. That can be frustrating when we are walking a tight line and trying to keep within 20 carbs.
