Default belly button cliffhanger!

I'm jealous of all of you women who even if you're overweight your stomachs are technically flat. I have this mini hangover of skin right above my belly button and I have never been able to figure out how to get rid of it. I still had it at 180, not as much as now but enough that I still found myself wearing baggier shirts and not showing off the weight i lost. I can't spot treat it, so my theory is it -might- be gone by the time I get to 170. Its friggin frustrating, and definately one of the top 2 spots on my body I can't stand. There's lots of way cuter clothes i'd be wearing if it wasn't for that one thing, and i'm afraid that if I lose all the weight i need to it won't go back to where it belongs, and just be as it is now only squishier lol

I had a c-section with my son and I have huge "muffin top" that you wouldn't believe. If I didnt have it I would be 2 pant sizes smaller it's aweful. Slowly it is getting smaller. It looks like I have a butt in the front.

I have to admit, when I first read the title of your post, I thought 'That damn alcoholic bellybutton!' LOL

I have the same issue It seems that strengthening the muscle under the hangover will help things along. Hence, the abs challenge.

After losing 70 lbs I'm stuck with this "frowny" belly button. I should have worked out when I was losing, but I'm too lazy for all that. I could correct it now with ab exercises, but I think i'll just stick to the one piece monokini to hide it...yes, I'm THAT lazy.

Hi!!
This is one of my biggest irrational worries. I've looked for info all over the internet about whether once-flat stomachs will return to flat again. Everything I've read point to fat loss and a "myth" about loose skin (at least, for people who were moderately overweight, by less than say 100 pounds and/or lost it slowly through diet and exercise). One thing I read that I really liked instructed me to grab the skin on the back of my hand as a demonstration that skin without fat under it is tight. So that basically, if you've got that little overhang, you've gotta work extra hard to get your body fat percentage down. (Have you ever seen a person with 15% body fat who has a flabby belly?)
I take comfort in that. We'll see in about 65 pounds for me!! Right now, my belly is the bane of my existence!!!!

Stomach is one my sore spots too.
But it has improved a lot even at my age (late forties) . The muffin top is getting pretty flat (thousands of crunches and plenty of core work later) And even the lower part has improved. Here I have some hmm "hanging issues" that I don't see ever become perfect. Some abuse and a C section. But it is a lot better. I am getting my bikini out this summer. Look out.

I'm there too. I'm trying hard to work on my core but not sure if it will do any good. Most of my excess weight was/is stored in my abdomen area both internally and externally[man can I ever breathe better]. It doesn't matter though because I WILL be fit no matter what and if I have to live with a little extra skin in my mid section than so be it. It'll be my cross to bare and what a small price to pay for being in better shape overall. Not trying to trivialize the effect our outward apperance has on our mind it's just that I've accepted that it's something that might be left behind after the weight is gone. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to work my !@#$ off in the meantime trying to get rid of it. I've already started dry brushing techniques to help tighten also. Don't know if that'll work either but it certainly makes this "YOUNG" body feel hella good. Good luck with it Kib. You are gorgeous and already a great success. Many kudos to you!
