This answer is from one of the moderaters, Not2late She writes in response to the same question: The ketostix are worthless during your period because the blood interferes with it, even if you use a tampon, there is still some leakage and that is enough to alter the ketostix results. I tried to find the answer myself for you, but came up with nothing, sorry
