| Jeff, which ever way you approach psyllium, it always tastes ghastly and has a weird gritty taste. Bet if you mixed it with water, let it stand then freeze it, you can use the ice blocks for construction. You could drill the blocks, saw them, do whatever to them for construction purposes. That would have helped Churchill's WWII effort in building ice aircraft carriers. Google that one up, he really liked the idea of aircraft carriers made of ice. Good luck colon cleansing...

| Ice Blocks? I have been taking it with water. One eight ounce glass of water and then another 8 ounce water chaser. I am getting used to it but there's got to be a better way (maybe). I may try the mayo with tuna, followed by a water chaser. Does anyone take it after each meal? I was wondering if that is too much on our insides? |

Do you mean 1tsp three times a day rather than a tablespoon all at once? I think 3 tbsps a day might be excessive.

| Julie, mine are plain but I like the added calcium ones too since I am at the age where bone loss becomes a worry. |

| I am taking 1 heaping Teaspoon at night about an hour after my last meal. I used to have a BM every morning but now it is late in the afternoon or evening and I hate the feeling all day. I never took it until Atkins and needed it. Maybe I need to up it to a tablespoon? |

| I take mine the same as Elizellen - it's not a British thing it was a smarter way to get something down that I didn't think I could drink. I've also sprinkled it on top of my salad and dressing. Hey - it works!

| I never had much success with the powder form, but took the capsules for a long time with plenty of water. On thyroid meds, I needed to wait before taking any calcium, so I took all supplements, including the psyllium husks caps after the mid-day meal. I just stopped taking them now that I am getting more fiber in my diet (just moved up to 35 net carbs, mostly veggies). I have never heard anyone mention this brand, but I find it in most grocery stores around here, in both powder and capsule form. I took Yerba Prima Psyllium Husks Caps.
