| Yes, take a tablespoon of psyllium husk. Don't take too much though, since psyllium can leave you feeling bloated and heavy. Make sure to drink a lot of water, especially after taking the psyllium husks. I prefer to buy the husks from the health food store and I stay away from the orange stuff found in drug stores, supermarkets, etc.

| I take 3-4 capsules of Metamucil psyllium husk daily, unless I eat a flaxseed muffin that day. That is usually enough by itself without any extra fiber to add. |

| It's supposed to bloat---that is psyllium is a bulk forming laxative: it absorbs water and swells. That bulk stimulates your intestines to get things moving. So it's important to drink your water when you take these laxatives.

| I don't take anything... I just drink lots of liquid. Going for a long walk helps with bloating as well... |

| I have the other problem..I get the diarrhea all the time..I have to keep Imodium around where ever I am..When I was not watching the carbs I had no problem but as soon as I got back here to Atkins sure enough the problem started out again..lol..you would think i would lose more weight but it does'nt seem to work that way... |

| make a flax cookie or add flaxmeal to something you eat daily -- it will keep you regular like the psyllium husk. The amounts you are allowed are in the book.
