| Why are you (a) eating fat-free anything and (b) eating something that's not allowed on induction? Cottage cheese isn't allowed until Rung 2. To answer your question, you subtract fiber grams from total carb grams (5-0 = 5 net carbs).

| Cottage cheese isn't allowed until Rung 2 (not on induction). You should eat full-fat cottage cheese on Atkins, not low-fat or fat-free. Net Carbs are Total Carbs - Fiber, so 5-0=5, for 1/2 cup in the example above.

| Ooh, I see that you're newly registered (sorry). You should go to the FAQ section of the induction forum and see the appropriate foods for induction, and only eat from that list. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...tion-faqs.html (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs)

| Your profile says '14-day induction'. Go to 'UserCP' (top-left of your screen) & update your profile Fat-free cottage cheese isn't allowed, even on Rung 2, full-fat only.

| Since you haven't read the book at least look at this area to get information on how much fat/protein/carbs you need daily. The fat in foods is what will keep you from getting hungry during the day. The "fat free" and "reduced fat" foods have ingredients in them (usually sugars with different names) that will keep you from loosing.
