But in the same time your body is also burning some glucose (from the foods you consume or produced via gluconeogenesis), for example, because there are tissues that cannot use ketones or fatty acids for energy. Finally, when you're in ketosis, assuming you are not burning off alcohol, isn't that an indication that you're burning fat and thus should be losing weight?
| Not necessarily. You could be burning dietary fat. So if you overeat, you won't lose weight even though you will be burning fat. And even if you are burning body fat, it just means you are losing fat, not necessarily weight.
