| The focus in AFL is a bit different. It is focussing on the maintaining phase of the diet. I think the main thing that was changed between DANDR and AFL is that they took out the alcohol rung "because in is not a nutritive carbohydrate and Hould not be consumed in the place of food". Just adding: And you are right about products. The Atkins company at that point (since DANDR had been such a hit) started to develop a bunch of products (bake mizes, muffing mixes etc) so the menu section and the recipe section (and the cook book that accompanied this book) did encourage you to use a lot of these products
