| Heck, no...Liv..cheez...so dramatic... Seriously, I just posted that as an info thing. I would never recommend a starvation diet to anyone.

| I saw this on the news this morning -- the doctor who was interviewed said he wouldn't recommend cutting daily calories as drastically as the study on monkeys suggested. He also said when you cut calories you are getting less nutrition which can lead to osteoporosis and other health issues.

| It's not a really new or cutting edge research. If I recall, I read about this theory about 10 years ago, or so. I guess he went far enough to collect data on monkeys. I would never recommend drastic caloric reduction unless the person was a competitive body builder a few weeks prior to the competition. Even then, I would never restrict my calories to less than 1500-1800 per day.
