For the cravings you were talking about, keep some LC fat & protein snacks around. Go for a walk. Listen to some relaxing music. Write how you feel in a journal. Post on ADBB. Look at some before/after pictures. Talking about before & after pictures, take a look at these: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ml#post1098186 (Before and during - From 400 lbs. to 247 lbs. Not done yet!!!) What about joining us in the "2009 Staying Cheat Free" challenge? This is the link to it: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...challenge.html (2009 Staying Cheat Free Challenge) And these are two threads I would recommend you read: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-sabotage.html (Stop the Self-Sabotage) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-one-bite.html (Before you take that "one bite"....)

| I agree with everything that has been said above...the major thing right now for you to do is to identify what has triggered you...that is crucial and to get back into living/eating healthy. You've done soooo well, congratulations on the 30 lb loss...that is impressive ![]() Now, lets keep that momentum going. Feeling badly isn't going to help you at all...time to move forward, figure out the trigger and deal with things in a different way. Time to start eating properly again, drink lots of water to flush out your system and fit some form of exercise into your day...before you know it you'll be feeling much better and the weight will start coming off again. This past month has been very difficult for me emotionally due to some medical news I received that has been a bit of a scare....deep down I know it started to take it's toll on me because I have had the worst case of wanting things I shouldn't....I had to identify my trigger and deal with the emotions and fear another way other than resorting to the unhealthy behavior of going back to my old ways of searching for comfort and a quick fix through food. I know you can get through this....you're worth it and you have to start believing that about yourself. Keep in touch and let us know how things are going. Remember....you deserve great health and to be happy....you're the one that is in control, not the food. Stay in touch, Sarina ------------------ Heaviest weight - 403 lbs. | Glad to hear that you are back on track. I find that the number of pounds I've lost is an inspiration, but I feel more like I'm making progress towards my goal when I calculate the percentage I've completed. I'm 30% of the way to goal

| I usually fall off the wagon because at some point I tell myself that I "deserve" to eat something that I'm not "allowed" to have. This time around, I'm making my daily mantra that I "deserve" to be thin and healthy MORE than I deserve that carbohydrate-rich food calling my name. Of course, it doesn't hurt to look at some of the success stories here while I'm reciting my mantra. The selfish side of me gets an ego boost when it sees others having success, which in turn boosts my resolve to stick to plan, because if "they" can do it, then damn it, so can I! Welcome back.

| What I did when I needed to get my head back in the game was I went to Sam's Club (any store will do) and picked up a 25 pound bag of rice and tried to talk around with it....at that time I had lost 25 pounds - I couldn't believe how hard it was to lug that - I couldn't even get down the entire aisle before I had to set it down.....when I get upset with myself and down I think about that day (or do it again when I'm in the store and add a 5 pound sack of sugar to it) -- I also check my beginning measurements to what they are now....I write them down and look at them. It is a very satisfying thing to do and puts things into perspective more than just the scale.
