Default Re: ranch dressing?

The less sugar the better Have you tried this:

Sugar Free Ranch Dressing
2 cloves garlic

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup homemade mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream ( could try buttermilk)
2 tablespoons minced parsley
2 tablespoons minced chives
1 scallion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
freshly ground black pepper

Mash the garlic and salt to a paste with the side of a chefs knife. In a medium bowl, whisk together the garlic, mayonnaise, buttermilk, parsley, chives, scallion, vinegar, and pepper to taste.
If the sauce is very thick, thin the dressing with a couple more tablespoons of the buttermilk. Use immediately or refrigerate, covered, for up to 2 weeks.
Makes 1.5 cups

It depends. Are you getting over half of your net carbs from veggies?

Default Re: ranch dressing?

most of carbs still come from the veggies but ive just been so sick of eggs that i tried ranch dressing in them and can now eat them again no problem
i was going to use a sugar free ranch but im afraid because of all the carbs i get from the splenda in my medication that using anything else with splenda in it would be way too much.we can only have 2 or 3 carbs from sucralose and i alreadly get like 5 from the medication which is too much to begin with but i have no other options there.
and everybody has told me to ignore the carbs i get from the liquid methadone and just do it the way anybody else would. i know the medication causes me to not lose as much as somebody else would but i still lose so im going to stick with it.

I use regular ranch dressing with no problems, probably about 2 to 4 tablespoons per day. I buy it in a gallon jug at Sam's Club.

This won't help the OP but...

Can you use yogurt instead of butter milk or sour cream. You can't find ranch dressing here and I SOOOO miss it . Plain Yogurt that is, it has a sour taste just like butter milk.

I'd think it would work (OWL Rung2+), but why (curiosity)? Can't you get sour cream or buttermilk?

If it tastes the same, I would choose splenda over sugar...
