He also poo-poo's (or perhaps pee-pee's) the Conventional Wisdom regarding water consumption: Drink Less Water? | Mark's Daily Apple

That would be another difference between PB and Atkins. Sisson's analysis isn't terribly scientific (more anecdotal).

Yeah, I've learned enough over the years to take all of these approaches with a grain of salt and to draw my own conclusions, as best as I can. I'm always skeptical of guys/gals who were ultramarathoners/triathletes in their 20's and 30's and are ripped into their 50's. Um, give me a million dollars and I can make lots of money with it, too. It's the 99.9% of us who are starting from unhealthful places that need the most help and are the biggest challenge. What I like about Sisson is that he is down-to-earth in his approach, much like Dr. Atkins was.

Diet-wise, I'm sticking with Atkins. However, I am going to cherry pick some Primal additions to my Atkins WOL. For example, I'm intrigued with Primal's advocacy of exercising barefoot (or using these Vibram Five Fingers: Discover the Barefooting Alternative ). As a guy, the caveman instinct in me is curious.
