Ketostix only measure the concentration of excess ketones (actually, only of acetoacetate, which is one of the three kinds of ketones) spilled over into urine. If your body uses all the acetoacetate for energy or converts it into other type of ketones, then you will have no excess left to pee and there will be no change in the color of the ketostix.
Do you still have the physical signs of ketosis: reduced appetite, thirst, increased energy, different urine and/or breath and/or sweat odor?
