I have done exactly this before. You will be surprised how good it is.

Time to move to OWL 2 for a day...

Take some whey protein, some yogurt, some splenda, some water, some vanilla extract and some ice cubes and blend it into a nice vanilla milkshake... rinse and repeat...

Go back to extended induction when you can eat again...

I also vote for the pureed soup idea. Lots of recipes here to give you some ideas. I would sub ground* beef or poultry for the regular stuff as it would give the same good flavor but puree up easier.
*Brown the ground meat separately and drain the fat.
Something like Creamy Eggs or other soft egg dish would be good. Paired with a veg juice is nice. Look for the fresh veg juices usually sold in the produce department refrigerator section if possible.

Hi John, you've already gotten a bunch of great advice, but I scanned thru my recipes and came up with a few that might be viable for you:

Pumpkin treat
-------------
1/2 Cup Libby's Pure Pumpkin (NOT pie filling which has sugar)
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon heavy whipping cream
1/4 Teaspoon pumpkin spice
1 Packet of Splenda
1 Tablespoon cream cheese if desired
Heat in the microwave for 15 seconds. Stir. Heat another 15 seconds. Yummy.
(Note - heating times may vary slightly depending on microwave)

Mashed Cauliflower
------------------
1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
3 cups chicken stock
4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
1 cup shredded white extra-sharp Vermont Cheddar (recommended: Cabot brand)
1/4 cup grated Parmigian
Coarse black pepper and salt
A generous grating nutmeg
Place cauliflower in a medium shallow pot or pan. Add stock, cover and place pot over high heat.
When liquid boils, reduce heat to simmer and cook covered 10 minutes.
Remove cover, raise heat to medium high and allow the broth to reduce by half, 2 minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces and the cheeses and smash the cauliflower with a masher to the same consistency as desired for mashed potatoes.
Season the cauliflower with black pepper, a pinch of salt and nutmeg.

Creamy Cauliflower (or Broccoli) Soup
-------------------------------------
4 cups lower sodium chicken broth (or vegetable)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 pound cauliflower or broccoli, cut into florets, stems peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup heavy cream
8oz grated cheddar cheese
Combine stock, salt and pepper in a large saucepan over med-hi heat, bring to a boil. add cauliflower, reduce the heat to med-low and simmer until tender, about 15 min.
Transfer soup to a blender. Holding blender lid down firmly with a folded kitchen towel, blend at low speed to puree (you may have to work in batches. Allow to cool a bit. Whisk in cream and cheese, simmer, whisking occasionally, about 5 min.
Try substitution other vegetables like asparagus, artichokes, celery or tomatoes

You could buy canned shredded tuna in oil. Its easy to swallow and its alot better than blending steak id think XP
