| Yes dairy rung But if its the isolate thing - then you can have it in induction. But it is not the best. Better to work on whole foods and get into normal meals. Build your foundation in induction.

| this is one of those things that could be argued forever. Personally- i stay away from it. it is a frankenfood, in my opinion- it is processed from something else- like corn products and soy products. if you are looking for a protein for a shake try eggbeaters. i understand that they have been pasturized so that there is no bacteria. that is if you don't have a problem eating raw eggs.

| I found whey powder on one type of pork rinds I was eating. I think it threw me out of ketosis. Kind of frustrating, why would they need to add whey to pork rinds?? Sorry I didn't mean to hijack your thread. |

Edit: never mind, I understood what you were saying (whole eggs v. egg whites). But, let me clarify. Egg Beaters' "Whole Egg" version is a little misleading since there's no fat in there. A real egg has 5g of fat. So, Egg Beaters (original) is not a good whole egg replacement.

Whey protein is a high quality, complete protein, with all the essential amino acids and is also the richest known source of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (leucine, isoleucine and valine). Unfortunately some companies have used whey protein as an ingredient for their frankenfoods by adding artificial flavorings and sweeteners and other ingredients. Per my doctor's recommendation, I use ImmunoPro Rx Non-Denatured Whey Protein Powder. Ingredients: Whey Protein Concentrate...nothing else! But the question here was not whether one should have whey protein or substitute eggs...for those like me who should have some whey protein in their diet or for those who want to, the question is: On what phase can we have it?
