| You can use Fitday to track what you eat and look at the % of fat, Protein, And carbs. And calories too. I found it very helpful. I had been doing the diet for a long time and loosing slowly but steady. Granted I am a bit of cheater, but still! It really helped me. I planned menues out for a few days, went to the store got what I needed. Okay some days, I changed what I ate because I felt like it. But I love Fitday. I don't do it everyday now that I got more fat worked in. But its great to get the % right. I too have a diet soda here and there when I'm out. It can make me hold water. I found out coffee really didn't affect my strips, I is lucky on that one. But fake suger leads me strait to a potatoe binge that'll set me back DAYS. Check out Fitday, its free to use. Keep it up, you'll get there!

| Do you want to share a more detailed menu with quantities and we could perhaps help you out some. Those sausages have corn syrup? starches? sugar? dextrose? Sausages can be tricky.

| If the strips show color you are in keotsis -- it doesn't matter what color they are. The keotsis sticks are unreliable for most people, there are other ways to tell if you are in keotsis -- an odd taste in your mouth, very thirsty all the time, darker or off smelling urine, bubbles in the urine....those are better ways to gauge if you are or aren't in keotsis. Don't worry - drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water (more is better but at least 64 ounces). Start exercising if you haven't already, it's mandatory on Atkins. Make sure you're only eating foods on the acceptable food list for best results. Watch for hidden sugar in everything you eat -- learn the words used for "sugar" on the labels and read all ingredients to make sure it's something you should be eating. Good luck.

| I'm new here, so I don't have any constructive help for you, other than, 12 pounds ROCKS!!
__________________ Started 8/31/09: 235.8lbs. 9/29/09: 227.0 10/13/09: 224.0 (yes, it's slow, but it's still happening!) Goal: 140 lbs. AND... I'd like a regular bath towel to fit all the way around me. I'd like to be able to fit into clothes bought at a regular store, not a store for "large women". I'd like to go on the annual rafting trip with my kids, confident that if I get tossed out of the raft into the river, I'll be able to hoist my backside back in with a minimum of embarasment! |

OK I think I am seeing the potentiality of loads of hdden carbs and sugars in what you are eating (and plenty of salt). Do you know exactly what ingredients these fast food foods have. And I mean exactly - many fat food places add starches and sugars to stuff and you cannot have that. What is is the guacamoli? Are you having at least cups of salad veggies and only one cup other veggies. I cannot tell. What is your fat to protein ratio? Well some things for you to think about? I know how hard it can be to keep eating Atkins when busy. So often cooking a head works. Crock pots are good so you can just let stuff cook while you are out and about.
