Unhappy 30 lbs lost ....20 to go

Hey!

I have a problem. I have been on atkins for about 3 months and i lost 30 lbs. After another month and a half, I didn't lose anything, so because of that frustration, I quit. It has been two months since I quit. It's hard for me to restart, I don't know why. I didn't gain any of the weight I lost, but I need to lose more. Could you help me with some tricks or something, so I could get back in the boat and be strong???

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Before you quit, how many carbs were you having per day? How many calories? did you ever move up to OWL rung 1?

I used to have 20 carbs per day... I didn't count any calories...and I didn't move any further...I kept on doing the extended induction to lose weight quickly... :S is it okay?

There are no tricks. I wish there were. Just motivation and hard work I am afraid So jump back on and keep going. Are you a tall person? Guy, girl?

So what you have to do is to get back to eating mostly veggie carbs. And no it is not always the best to stay in induction. Some people do better when they move up the rungs. You can do that this time.
Are you starting today?

Since you have been on Atkins for 3 months get back in keotsis then move to OWL Rung 1 (not in 2 weeks - as soon as you get back in keotsis) and start adding foods back in....you may be experiencing what is called "Post Induction Stall Syndrome" (PISS). The "trick" to getting past it is to move on to OWL. That's the only "trick" there is -- keep moving forward, finding what works for you and what doesn't.

You can read all about OWL in the book - or if you don't have one yet (you should) read about it here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ight-loss-owl/.

How much water are you drinking daily? You should drink a MINIMUM of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added). Taking a multi-vitamin and exercising.

Good luck.
