I think Blistex knocked me out of ketosis

I'm just getting over a nasy cold. My lips were so dry and cracking that I've been generously applying Blistx Deep Renewal several times a day the last couple of days. I noticed the sweet taste, but didn't think anything of it, until two days of not loosing and my ketostix going back to beige. Could it be the Blistex? There are no ingredients on the tube and I no longer have the original packaging.

Were you taking medications or using cough drops? My sugar free cough drops messed me up.

No, I was very careful not to ingest anything like cold medicine, cough drops or throat lozenges, just the didn't think about the Blistex until after it was done.

I really don't think Blistex can knock you out of ketosis even if you ate it. The ingredients are dimenthicone, menthol, camphor, phenol, beeswax, glycerin, mineral oil, paraffin, petrolatum, water, flavors & a bunch of chemicals that are hard to pronounce. The sweet taste is saccharin.

How do you know you are out of ketosis? I don't think you can rely on the ketostix as the sole indicator. Possibly your weight loss has temporarily stalled because you are sick. Hope you are feeling better soon.

p.s. I use Burt's Bees lip balm because I don't care for chemicals and that has never knocked me out of ketosis.
