| I explained what's the deal with gum in this thread: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad-breath.html (bad breath?). So maybe you can check that out. About those capsules and tabs... I don't know what acai capsules do. Are these the ones that are said to help with weight loss? You don't need them on Atkins. You don't need the colon cleanse tabs either. If you have constipation problems, then take a daily fiber supplement (1 tbsp of flax meal, psyllium husks or wheat bran). If this doesn't help with the problem, then increase the dosage and see how that goes. You will need to take your any of these fiber supplements with a lot of water, or else they'll have the opposite effect.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Hi Georgiana, Thank you so much for your response and the link to the thread! I am having my last glass of wine tonight and I am starting the countdown to Monday and I am looking forward to it and so excited about getting stuck into it. I have looked at this bulletin board so many times and I figured by actually joining, means that I am finally commited to doing it. Its so great to have the support here. Again, many thanks. Wobbly |

| I chewed gum my first week of induction and found that every time the "sugar free" gum would throw me right out of ketosis. So much for that. I quit chewing gum and just brushed my teeth and tongue more often and flossed. I know that once I reach OWL I can usually have gum and mints in moderation and stay on track. |
