Maybe review the Induction food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) and plan your next meal from that. And the next one and the next one and the next one... After 14 days then maybe check out the OWL forum.

| Faolteam, I dont have any of the stuff here in China either. You dont need the extras. You need eggs, cheese, veggies, meats, cream, and the other things that I know you can get in Ireland. You aren't the first to go off plan. But now you know something about yourself. You know that a small cheat leads to bigger ones and then a total derailment. Learning to get back on track immediately is a skill and it takes conscious effort. Of course you know what to do! Make your mind up to start over and do it right this time. Make this a life choice. Do it cleanly and stop looking at yourself as deprived because you can't have the other things. Consider yourself privileged because you are worth eating healthier than that. And when you fall next time, and you will, get up tell yourself what a fool you were and get back on track at the very next meal. One day at a time. One day at a time. Keep plugging away at it. |

| Glad to hear you're back on plan. Well done! Perhaps you'd benefit from moving to OWL as soon as possible. You'd have extra food choices and be able to make yourself snacks that you like and are allowed. Don't be afraid of OWL.... you really do still lose weight. Some lose even faster on the first rungs!

| I missed the mindless munching a lot at first too...that is a habit I had for 30 years...I had to conciously fight it for a long time. After 5+ months of eating only when hungry, and then eating healthy foods rather than chips (crisps At first, I would often have a nicely flavoured herbal tea in the evening (when I would want to snack). I simply no longer feel the need. I suspect that if you stick with it, you will lose the habit of snacking/eating sweets after meals. PS - I don't use very many of those "products"...I think sugar-free BBQ sauce is the only "specialty" item I use (and I have to travel to the States to get it (or order online)). Also - I miss chewing gum too. I don't miss the 67lbs I've lost though! Good trade

As far as stopping for a bite to eat when out, I miss that too. When doing my errands I used to love to stop and have a coffee or tea and a little something. I miss that. Yes, I can get a cup of decaf but there doesn't seem to be a little low carb goodie to go along with it. I suppose I could bring something with me but...well, that just doesn't seem like as much fun. ![]() So now I go without that little ritual. Still miss it but realize that all those times in the past that I did it, I was eating stuff that I really did not need...no wonder I got fat.

| so can i eat nuts yet and how much cream is acceptable, also what size exactly is a cup considering theres different sizes is there a weight ? |

| A cup is eight fluid ounces. A teacup is closer to five or six ounces if filled to a "normal" level. Nuts are rung three, so no not yet. Cream, small amounts for tea or coffee should be OK, unless you are drinking one cup after another all day long. Do you have the book? |

| OT: Faolteam, here's the link to the UK2009 thread (Uk 2009) in the International forum. Lots of Irish folks posting in there plus you may find advice/answers to foods more common in your area. HTH
