| Well there are probably a couple of ways to think about this. According to Atkins you have to measure all foods with carbs - so that means all veggies (and you should eat three cups) - all cheese (it is limited), all cream and sour cream (limited), all sweetenerns (limited) , eggs need to be counted as they have carbs. And then veggies should be the majority of your carbs every day - and total carb count should be under 20. If you do not measure and count you may be fooling yourself. I do that. I am good at tricking myself when in comes to amounts sometimes. So measue and count is the the only thing that works. As for the carb free items like clean meat and fish and fats you do not have to measure them. Personally I like too do that anyways as I want to get an understanding of how much I eat and what my portions are like.

| I measure and track everything I eat. If I don't I would be overeating most days.

| Read the book!! Write down everything, this way if you don't lose weight you can look back and review what you are eating. If you are not welling to follow the plan then don't expect it to work. I would suggest looking for the recipes on Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home and making a plan on what your eating. I already have made 2 quishe and the salmon muffins for this week and tonight I am going to make gground up hamburger to keep in the fridge and add to meals as I go along. This plan needs your full attention. Also I wouldn't be eating at KFC either.

| We all start kind of baby and find our way gradually I think. From what you listed veggies are your issue - you need the nutrients and you should aim for those three cups. You need to make sure you do not eat too much cheese and dairy - they are stallers in high amounts. But yeah - you are heading in the right direction.
