| Yes. I guess, and I'm not totally sure, I'd hedge my bets and say that fats cells probably empty out at different rates depending on genetics, blood flow to the cells, etc.

| I have totally noticed this in myself. At my highest and even as recently as 10lbs ago, my fat (mostly in the belly...ugh!) was solid. Now it's all jiggly and somewhat wrinkly. My turkey-wobble underarm skin has gone from flabby to flappy. I guess it will all even out eventually. Good luck! Shelley |

| I would suspect that it has something to do with tight skin rather than firm fat...now you have more room so it seems wobbly. Your skin will slowly start to shrink as you loose weight, however genetics will decide just how much extra skin you have left over when you reach goal.

But as to the wobble...When you were a child and you blew up a balloon, when the balloon was full of air it was taut, right? But if you released half of the air, the balloon would be as taut as it was when it was full, right? That's what's happening with your body. Your skin is like the balloon. Your fat is like the air in that balloon. As you lose your fat, your skin is still stretched out, so it will wobble more than it did when it was full of fat.

| Along the same lines of previous comments, when fat cells first empty out, they are filled with fluid for a while until your body is sure that you don't intend to fill them back up. When the fat has been gone for a time, they will let go of the fluid and you usually get a whoosh. The skin starts to tighten up and the jiggle starts to go away. It's all a part of the process.

| Yep, I always notice I look the worst just before a whoosh. Kind of lumpy in spots. Then shortly after the scale rewards me. I console myself with that knowledge when I don't like the way my fat is hanging in the mirror! LOL |
