Default Should i eat some carbs or eat nothing?

I am stuck at work for the day and have forgotton to bring my lunch. We hve zero low carb options available. Only thing available is biscuits or fruit. I understand that regular meals are very important. If i wait until the end of the day to eat it will be 7 - hours between meals. I am not that hungry and will be able to make it, I have heaps of water, but my question is;

Is it more sensible to eat and not go thought the staving effect but eat carbs and impact your low carb progress?

PS: My first post here. Been at Atkins since Jan 09. I was 105kg 6'1". I lost 11kg in 6 weeks on atkins and then spent the rest of the year putting it back on. I dont eat junk, i dont eat pre packaged food. I pretty much only eat food made from 'whole foods'. But i eat too much and i drink WAY too much beer. So i have switched to low carb (again) and stopped the beer. I am aiming for 2.5kg a fortnight for the rest of the year. I want to break 90kg by Christmas. Currently 96kg.

just wait the 7 hours but eat when you get home so your metabolism doesnt start to slow down

and ya this is a diet for life you cant go off it cause chances are you will just gain your weight back

sure someone who is healthy and never got his or her cells posioned with white flour and refind grains and other horribley unatural high carb blood sugar spikeing food resulting in insulin resistant cells and becomeing fat someone who never sufferd that can handle fruit and such with out gaining weight but people who get fat cant handle alot of fruit anymore thanks to the food of man that they have ate in the past

but also fruit now a days has a lot more sugar in it than the fruit are ancestors ate

It happens... Some choices can be pulled apart and the carbs discarded (a sandwich minus the bread, pizza minus the crust) in a pinch. Most snack machines where I work at least have peanuts without the sugar coating. I think I'd rather go hungry, though, than risk losing all I'd worked so hard to achieve.

Wait and eat when you get home, but this should underline the importance of planning ahead. I would get some menus from places around that deliver so you could have something legal sent if need be and plan to take some snacks to get your through the day next time this happens. Even in Induction I would keep 22 almonds in a bag. They are not Induction friendly, but in an emergency they are low carb and have enough fat to hold you over. This is also one time when maybe keeping an Atkins shake at the office just for emergencies might be a better choice than skipping a meal or eating junk.

Ahhh planning, one of my many deficiencies I guess this is why i am here without my lunch again. I dont work in suburbia most of the time, so no snack machines and no deliveries. We have a catered dining room, but its over the top indulgent and not very cheap.

I only have an hour to go now, so, lots of water (can you have too much water?) and a few cups of tea till i get home.

I will buy some stuff to carry in my bag from now on so i dont get caught out again.

How much water do most of your drink a day? I am going through a out 3 litres.

3 liters is about right for me, too.
