Well ... each piece counts against a serving of sweetener, and there's a limit of 3 per day. Chewing gum isn't attractive. It also sends messages to your digestive system that food and sugar are coming ... so it might not be the message you actually want to send. However, it's not "illegal". There's better choices though, imho.

Read the back of the package as well, most sugar free gum still contains carbs, between 1 and 2 usually. To counteract my nasty atkins breath I suck on Altoid SF minis//
