| Somebody is in dream land. la la la All the pages where people does custum entries are somewhat unreliable. I have come across a few funny things. Many places they are just interested in calories because that is all they count. |

| Applebee's has never been forthcoming about their nutritional information. They do have WW points on some of their meals which is not helpful for people on Atkins. You can tell that myfitnesspal does not have complete info as the only thing listed is the calorie count. Applebee's is carb heaven. Most meals will run you at least 100g carbs due to all the sugars and starches in their meals. Your appetizer plate is approximately: Buffalo wings - 50g carb Nachos - 50g carb Mozzarella sticks - 10g carb/stick This doesn't include dipping sauces. The Daily Plate (now livestrong) has a lot of verified nutritional info for Applebee's but it is a difficult restaurant for carb counters. Even a garden salad with grilled chicken breast is over 20g carbs (without dressing).

| ughh ok so any recommendations? Because I searched the boards but when i look up stuff it doesn't look promising. My daughter wants to go there for her 8th birthday. here is what i was thinking to choose from: hot wings artichoke dip WW steak - no sauce or rice WW tilapia - just no rice all veggies and no salsa on top garlic herb salmon parmesan tilapia grilled chicken salad grilled shrimp salad WW grilled lime salad fiesta lime chicken with no lime sauce Roasted Garlic & Asiago Chicken garlic herb chicken? No potatoes or rice with any of them. But which is the safest? I really want to do good so I'm trying to research & be prepared please help! how about the quesidialla burger and just dont' eat the tortilla? bacon cheese burger no bun of course or even the 10oz The Original Brewtus Steak Burger™ no bun What I really want to have is the 2 for 20 with my husband and get the dip but eat it with celery - then fiesta lime chicken or the bacon cheese burger?? what do you think? Also if I get a side salad with like my burger and ask for nothing but lettuce and ceasar dressing is that ok? |

| >> artichoke dip>> Probably has flour or some binder in it. >> grilled chicken salad>> Most commercial chicken is "plumped" with a dextrose solution. I generally avoid it except on rare occasions. >>which is the safest?>> As has been noted, Applebee's isn't really a "great" Atkins choice ... since their focus is low fat. My approach would be to eat as simply as possible ... I wouldn't be able to get a burger there because they're not going to serve it rare (which is the only way I eat it) ... so I would have to make a different choice. If you like your burgers medium, then a burger is a good choice, since it's harder to ruin bacon and cheese! The most important thing is to have a good time with your daughter ... focus on her! Make the best choice you can.

| I've never been to a Red Robin ... Outback ... you have to be careful with their vegetables since they put brown sugar on them. And Outback is pretty pricey, too, if that's a concern. You can certainly "do" Applebee's, as long as you plan ahead and know the limitations. Any restaurant will have limitations and problem foods. As to the burger ... it depends on how you like it cooked. I can't generally eat a burger at a chain restaurant because they won't cook it "to order".
