The geltabs and caplets have a tiny amount of starch in them.
The liquid kind has sugar... so I would avoid it.
Most meds can slow down weight loss. But it's not something I would worry about. If one needs to take some medication, then taking that medication is likely more important than losing 5 lbs per month instead of 3. If you notice it affects your weight loss, then you can ask your doctor whether it's possible to switch to other meds.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
