| You're welcome. So why do you choose to drink 4 cans of Diet Coke?

| Why do you need to replace water with another beverage? A lot of people just drink water. FWIW, I drink various spring or mineral waters and an occasional cup of decaf coffee or tea. Maybe it's just a habit thing to drink soda (or find something else)? Before long you will be used to drinking water as your primary beverage. Your body will be happy too. p.s. At least water is fashionable now...lots of different bottled waters out there. Years ago that was not the case.

| <<lso drinking 4 cans of diet coke a day<< There's a limit of 3 servings a day of sweeteners. You're over the limit on this alone.

| I had a 6-8 cans of diet coke per day habit. What I realized is that drinking the stuff is full of chemicals that my body really doesn't need, it's an addiction, and that it preventing me from drinking enough plain water. So I've quit it. I occasionally have one maybe once or twice a month, but have found that I no longer like the taste. I do drink tea frequently, however, but don't count it toward my daily water total. I made it a rule to no longer allow soda in my house and have changed my habits where I used to want a soda, i.e. avoiding vending machines, ordering water at restaurants (its cheaper!), working late, etc. The caffeine is also an addiction. I really believe soda overall is an addiction and Atkins is all about breaking addictions. Really, do yourself a favor and quit it for a while. You'll be amazed at how you feel and how much you don't miss it.

| A good point I usually ask for a glass/jug of 'tap water' when eating out (unless it is a celebration-type meal where I order sparkling water) and that is free!!Last time we went to a '2 for 1' eatery our two excellent and filling meals would have been less than £10 if my husband hadn't ordered a diet drink (£2.50/a bit over $4 US)
