Default Calories?

Okay, I was told the other night that I do not eat enough calories, but I plan out all my meals to the T and at the end of the day they always come out to about 1200-1400 calories a day. I honestly do not know what to do to raise more cal intake. What I can eat on induction is very limited, If I'm going to raise my cal intake... I have to eat more of what is exceptable, but that is taboo. Needing some advice on what I should do?

Add mayo or butter to a few things - it will add up quick.

Are you using Fitday?

If so, are you willing to make it public?

Based on my experience, 1200-1400 calories at your current weight will put you in "famine mode" in no time ... and you're likely to not lose.

yes, Im using fitday. I would make it public if I new how. but I have figured out how to add more calories. 2000 a day, which I was told what I needed a day, just seems like its to much, but I will give it a go! I'd like to add that even though I agree that, that amount of calories is to low... I have never had problems with losing weight if I ate to little, but I did get real tired if I did. Ready for day 4! with some added calories!!!!

To make your Fitday public, log in, go to the Profile tab, click on the blue Public Settings Page at the bottom, click on the "Make My Journal Public" button. Then you'll get a link at the top:

http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=<name of your fitday account>

It's not. Honest. Atkins isn't based on calories in/calories out.

Tips on using Fitday ... enter your food raw, as much as you can.

For example, your "fried eggs" and boiled eggs would be better entered as "eggs, whole, raw" and then the size. Fitday often adds ingredients to the cooked entries that we don't know what they are.

Did you weigh your pork chop before or after it was cooked? If you measured it raw, then it should be entered raw.

What's 1 serving of spinach leaves ... exactly.

What's in the dip, cream cheese base? Again ... if that's a Fitday entry, the ingredients may not be what you actually ate.

What kind of cheese, exactly?

The more precise you are with your entries, the better off you are.

And since we're creatures of habit, once something is entered, you can use the Recently Eaten or the Custom Foods to enter things quickly.

Make sure you enter all the fat you use to cook with ... that will give you a better idea of your total calorie count.

The salsa, red, uncooked ... does that match the carb count on the container? Does the salsa have any added sugar?

Hope that helps some.

okay pork chop before cooked was weighed. the salsa has no added surgars or perservitives. Its all natural ingredients. I checked. and I add all fats i usen for cooking. Thanks for the tips. I appericate it. the cheese is chedder cheese cubs, it had no added starch or anything like that.

<<pork chop before cooked was weighed.<<

Then I would change the Fitday entry.

>>the salsa has no added surgars>>

Does the carb count from Fitday match the container? If not, then make a custom entry.

I would change the cheese entry to reflect cheddar ...
