    Re: Salt???

I use salt. But, not so much that I'm going to have a heart attack tomorrow or anything. I dont think there are any restrictions of salt while on atkins. I do know that salt makes you retain water though. I also know that its really not good for you if you over do it. I generally will drink extra water If I eat something that has a lot of salt in it. Well, I hope I helped.

theres no restrictions to salt but it will make you retain water and therefore (if your a scale addict) it will show like youve gained.

If you must have it ensure you drink lots of extra water to flush it away!

        Re: Salt???

Is that Jane's Crazy Mixed-up salt any good. It's on sale here and I wanted to try it. I also use something called Spike, it adds loads of flavor to eggs, veggies and salad greens.

        Thanks!

Here is a link to a post from Bren. It has a good section on Salt intake.

            Re: Salt???

Hi, Twheel8! Salt is certainly permitted; however, I avoid it when I can when it comes to the entrées I order ("No salt & no seasoning, please!") and cooking at home. There is plenty of it in the cheeses and dressings I eat and use, so I just cut corners when I can.
