    hii, been a long time

i'm only 20 pounds over weight, is it ok for me to be in induction for 2 months?

it's because i have problems counting the carbs, and i get bored, you know checking to see whats allowed and whats not in the later phases

    sometimes i eat 10 carbs a day.

cheese is a big stall for me

i pass my day with just 1 sometimes 2 meals a day (lettuce and beef/lamp/chicken)

    huge coffee person.

    thats all
    take care xxx

The problem with that is that you will probably gain all the weight back (and then some) once you start eating normally again. Going through the phases reintroduces the carbs into your diet gradually, meaning your weight loss just slow down, rather than you changing back to a different diet althogether and shocking your body.

Also, you must follow the rules of induction precisely to see the results. If you only eat certain foods or a smaller amount of food than recommended, it wont work.

      Welcome back, Ivy

I would suggest just doing induction for a 2 week period then heading on up the carb ladder.

I know it seem complicated, but it isnt really - the first OWL rung is just adding 5 net carbs of your induction veggies to whatever veg you had on induction.

There are several useful threads in the OWL forum which help explain things, and you can always call on the experience of members in the OWL forum to get you started and following the right track.

Also did you use a site like fitday.com to help you log your foods and count your carbs last time you were on induction? I found it very helpful and (once I had been using it a while) fairly simple. I still use it now btw to keep an eye on my consumption and plan menus.

As Stepbob said, if you dont start to add carbs after induction but wait till you reach goal then go back to your pre-Atkins food choices your body will not have learned how to handle them without you putting weight back on, which will be a waste of all your hard work
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
