  • June Stability Ball Exercise~sign up and reporting thread

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    1 arm rows
    stability ball exericse tapes/dvd's

    Basically, any exercise that you do, using your stability ball will count.

      i'm in bioleader but i'll have to check with my dr. jack to see what my limits are. i'm not going to be able to do any of the hard core stuff, not yet, but i think i can do some of the stretches without tearing my stitches out.

      i'll get back to you on the minutes.

        jack and i seem to think that 5 minutes a day is a good start. if i see that i've undershot things by mid month, then i'll adjust my goal. i just have no idea of what i will be able to do.

        i've done 4 minutes today. squats and some stretches. holy moly, it feels like the very first time of using the stab. ball!

            Good Morning Bio and Jimmie I had to work all weekend so I'm sorry I haven't checked in .....I'm definitly in for June and so Glad to see you back with us on the ball Jimmie ..... My focus this month hugely is cardio because I really need to get my weight moving it's been stalled for so long because of all my dilly dallying. So I am going to reduce my ball minutes a little for my morning work out so I can add a daily cardio work out as well to my routine .....

            I commit to 10 min a day so 300 total for June
            I also continue to commit to my Minutes for Jo ..... 10 a day each evening. So 300 there as well.

            So far I have

            6/1 - 10 min Abs, leg squeezes, stretching
            6/2 - 10 min Abs, Legs, stretching ect...

            total 20/300

            Minutes for Jo:

            6/1 - 10 min Specifically praying for strength and healing

              You'll see that the stability ball is a great complement to any workout regimen.

                heidi, i'm able to do [try] some minutes this month and you still want to do 300 for me?

                    i'll benefit from the praying, you'll benefit from the minutes.

                    i feel good today but after 1 mile of biking and 7 minutes of testing more ball moves, i am whooped.
                    i did some squats but mostly stretches. tomorrow, i'll try my ability using the dumbbells.

                          4 minutes today.

                          squats, side stretches and weights but i used my lightest ones so as not to do too much, too fast.

                            So here are the numbers as I see them (please correct me if I'm mistaken in your goals):

                            Jo: 15/150 minutes
                            me: 80/400 minutes
                            Heidi: 35/300 + 20/300 (for Jo) a total of 600 minutes for June!! WOW!!

                              Bio you got my goals right ......... It seems like a lot but doing 10 in the morning and 10 at night really doesn't seem like to much.

                              Jo I can't believe your using weights all ready ......... be careful the very last thing you want to do is pull those stitches ...... You making such amazing progress so quickly I know when I had my Hysterectomy I was unable to do or lift anything for at least 8 weeks ......
