  • Two weeks in...

Well, I haven't posted much but sure have been reading a lot of posts! I've lost 5 lbs in 14 days. I don't think I'm ready to go off of induction yet as the first few days were more 'learning days' and I had some slips. SO, I'm going to keep going and see what happens!!

I've done low-fat diets forever and really struggled to lose any weight. I was to the point I was barely eating anything during the day. I started having some health problems and went in to the doc. My doc informed me I am insulin resistant so have been doing a lot of reading about it - answered a lot of questions as to why other diets weren't working! Low carb makes sense and seems to be working!! And I'm feeling great!

Anyway - just wanted to say that I come on here daily to read posts, and most of all, to look at everyone's success/during pictures. They are so motivating!! I can't wait to be able to post some!!

Congratulations! You've already lost almost 18% of your total goal!!!! Average for induction is 10-15% so you are doing FABULOUS!!!! Rung 1 is just adding more of the induction veggies you are already eating. With the amount of weight you have left to lose, I don't know if I'd recommend you stay on Induciton too long... I'd bet you'd be just as successful on Rung 1! Also Dr. A says he wants our last 10 lbs to be done in pre-maintenance, and if we spend too much time in induciton, we wont get through all of the rungs before losing all of our weight, and possibly won't find out about trigger foods and things we just can't handle and we won't get our CCLL figured out in time for maintenance...

Just think about it! Of course the choice is yours, but from what I understand, this is what I'd do!

    GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!
    Have a Beautiful Day

Thanks for the posts! Bonnie - excellent points you have made. I just worried about not completing the full 14 days 'clean'. The first 3 days I had over the 20 limit as I was getting used to the new switch of the diet. But I do understand your point and will look in to making some additions to my menu!
