    Re: coconut oil

I don't think there is any particular recommended 'dose'. I use it in cooking sometimes but only because I like the taste in certain dishes. I also have made 'coconut bark' (a sort of chocolate substitute) with it.

I have read that if you are intending to eat a lot of it (some people seem to believe that 3 or 4 tablespoons a day has good effects on them) you need to step up to it by having a small amount at first and increasing gradually over a few weeks to avoid gastric distress!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

        Re: coconut oil

Here is the recipe I use (originally it was for one cup of coconut oil but I quartered it).
For induction you should be only using cocoa powder in small quantities as it is from a nut/seed, so do not eat it all in one day!!
1/4 cup melted coconut oil (4 Tablespoons)
        3-4 Teaspoons cocoa powder
        large pinch of salt
        1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 teaspoons of splenda to taste

Mix it thoroughly and spoon into candy moulds then refrigerate till hardened.
