  • Sign up for #49 6 Week Exercise Challenge

    The #49 6WEC will begin on Sunday, December 14 and runs through Saturday, January 24, 2009.

    There is a cut off date for signing up and being charted so pleaseread the official rules
    Official 6WEC Rules and Where To Measure.

    Sign up!
    1. Tell us how many days a week you plan to exercise.

    2. Make a note of your beginning measurements. You do not have to post them here if you aren't comfortable doing that. Just be sure to write them down someplace safe to compare with your measurements at the end of the challenge. Click here for a picture that shows you where to measure. The following stats are the only ones that will be considered for the ribbon awards.

    -Under arms, around chest
    -Fullest part of chest
    -Ribcage
    -Waist
    -Hips
    -Upper arm x 2
    -Thigh x 2
    -Weight

    Don't forget to check in!
    1. Look for a new thread each day in this forum. It will be titled something like "6WEC#49, Week 1, Day 1, Sunday, December 14"

    2. Tell us whether you exercised, took a rest day or a sick day.

    3. PLEASE try to post daily!

    2 Ways to win something!
    1. The 3 Challengers who lose the most will earn a ribbon. Winners are determined first by inches and then by pounds.

    2. Those who complete all 6 weeks of the challenge without getting slugged will earn a slug free button. Sick days do not count as slugs.

      Wohoo! I'm in, I'm in! I have 7 weeks until my trip to Hawaii, so it'll be nice to lose some weight/inches before we go!

            I'm only committing to 4 days to give me some buffer room if my long runs kick my butt too much. I have a 18 and a 20 miler and I'm a little nervous.

                    Shoot, I thought I edited my answer, but it's not showing up! I'm committing to five days a week. I'll be in Hawaii on the 19th of January with no access to internet. Is there some way I can start my own personal six weeks today and end early so I can have it done before we leave?

                      @ontheway2stephsnie, you will probably be doing a lot of walking in Hawaii and that will all count as exercise. Now aside from that... I'm sure I'll fit in your luggage

                            i've got you at 5 days now, stephanie. as for the early start, done before you leave.... sorry, but that won't be an option for this challenge. however, the lack of internet should not be a problem. just keep track of what you do each day such as walking or swimming and just send me the details when you get back. i'll update the chart.
