I have actually done atkins before. I did the two week introduction and lost 11lb in the two weeks which I was very very happy with. I was a bit stupid to start the diet before a 3week cruise. Actually very silly. I was naive to think I could last them 3weeks.
Anyway cruise ships full of cakes, sweets, alcohol I had no chance lol.
Anyway I am back, no events coming up, no vacations, no parties. It is ther perfect time for me.
Right now I am 5ft9 lol
and I weigh 206lb
This makes me overweight.
I seem to carry my weight well, and I excersise a lot so I do actually think a lot is muscle weight but I am still overweight and I wish to do something about it.
I am just about to start taking Accutane for my skin. I am not allowed to drink for 3months and therefore that solves my alcohol intake for the first 3months. I have checked with the doctor about weight loss while on this medication. He said I go in one a month to be weighed so that if my weight is higher or lower they increase or reduce my medication accordingly.
I feel if I weigh myself too often I find myself dissapointed if I don't achieve results. For this reason I have decided to weigh myself tomorow morning. Then weight for these 3 weigh ins.
So my ultimate goal weight is 150lbs
This gives me a Bmi of 22.1
I used to be this weigh before University and although hating my body at the time, I look back on photographs and my body was what I would call perfect now. Weird how our perception changes.
Not set a goal date. However I leave the Uk in October and with 46lbs to loose. 36weeks before I go. This would mean a 1.2lb per week loss.
I aim in my head to loose 2lbs a week, which will take 25weeks. Then trying to maintain that weight for me to go away. Then I start work in October in North Carolina, healthy, happy and with a dam hot body.
I am glad to join this board and will let you know how it goes in the following weeks. I am sure I will have a question or 2.
