    I went to FitDay... to put in my new weight 169.8 and I'm still "obese"...

    Ugh! So... I have a new mini-goal. Get out the "obese" category.

      Wow, can't believe it's 1000 and I'm only the second person to check in!

      Had a very busy weekend. Moving furniture and cleaning. Also, got all my hair chopped off. That was a HUGE step for me. I haven't had short since I was 3 yrs old. I've always had long hair. I cut off 10 inches and donated it to Locks of Love. It's SUPER SHORT! I guess I'll get used to it! The funny thing? I lost 2 lbs because of it! Hair is heavier than I thought!

        Good morning all! Looks like everybody is getting a late start this Monday morning. Had a buzy weekend, we were out every night. Had lots of obstacles to contend with, but I passed with flying colours, by being prepared. I feel great about that. Hopefully the scale will show it tomorrow at weigh in time for the Losers Challenge! Have a great day everyone!

          Kids have no school today so I slept in! ...Tomorrow is my first "official" weigh-in since starting (again)...No soy sauce today for sure!!! maybe the genie will bring me a BIG gift!!!

              Add me to the late folks today. I usually start these threads because I post before work. Today was hectic. I actually gained two pounds this week and I realized I was getting sloppy in my approach to this. I went out to restaurants and ate things that looked legal. I believe they were because my ketostix showed color all week. When I cooked it was all legal too, and I ate a lot of good things from Linda's site. I think I was over eating legal food. Linda's stuff is soooo good. This week, it's back to the basics. I think well do a very strict week of no fun foods to see if I can get back on track. Everlosing's pulling away from me and Vickie is hot on my tail. I'm sure when Julie checks in today she'll be a loser too. Have a good day all.

                It's only 7:30 here..... My eyes are still sleepy feeling.

                I did get on the scale and it was still the same- I know I am bloated. I can feel it. Give me a day or 2 and I am pretty sure I will finally see a nice drop- I have been sticking to plan but I am afraid I am not eating enough.

                plsmachick- Don't let the obese thing get to you. Even when I get to goal I will probably still be considered obese. I don't believe they can be accurate with out having the true body fat test.

                cheribaby- congrats on the hair cut. I bet you look great. I think locks for love is a fantastic thing. My hair has never been long- I had short hair all my life. I have been growing it for about 3 years because hubby likes it longer. I still don't think I can take off 10 inches with out being bald.

                TJ- I wonder of those beers are having their rebound effect? I stopped drinking beer about 9 years ago. I love a nice dark beer but I started gaining weight seriouslhy then. My husband did atkins many years ago the first time with me and he started drinking vodka and diet squirt (one of my favorite drinks). It stuck and there is no carbs- just the fact that the alcohol will burn off before you go back to buring fat. Any way if you don't think it is to foo foo to drink a girls drink you might like it.

                    Good Morning STACrs! Had a good weekend. Lost another 2lbs and 4.5 inces last week for a total of 12lbs and 19.5 inches in 5 weeks. VERY HAPPY with my progress thus far. Ate way too much sodium on Sat, ending up retaining about 2lbs of water Sun morning, so drank tons of water yesterday and avioded sodium at all costs, lost 1lb of it this morning and hope to see the other lb gone tomorrow.

                    plsmachick- I also have the same mini goal right now (out of the obese category) which will be at 174 lbs so I have 9lbs to go before I reach it, not sure how much further you have, but I assume not that much! I agree with AlaskaGirl those BMI ratings can be unrealistic at times, we are all so different I do not see how they can be completely accurate. But, I hope you reach your goal soon! I figure another 4 to 5 weeks before I make it to the "overweight" category.

                    CheriBaby- That is awesome of you to have donated your hair! The 2lbs is a great reward for such a generous gift!

                    TJ- I also had a few Mich Ultras and had a woosh in the morning, but I think that was due to the increased bathroom breaks, I think my bladder is the size of a pea! I do not plan on revisiting that "chance", and you should be careful as well, too much of a good thing can be dangerous!

                      I'm here too... and while physically I'm still feeling like poop, I'm a happy camper because I weighed in at 215 again today. So, 2 days in a row... I think I'll own it!! I've changed my siggy below and now I'm gearing for my next mini-goal.

                      Yep TJ... I'm hot on your heals! But I suspect my next 15 pounds will take a little longer to lose then the first 16. Oh well... I'm happy!

                      Julie... I thought you said your scale might be wonky and that you needed a new one? Hurry and go buy one because I'll bet your right there with me at 215! Maybe even less!!!

                      Everlosing... sounds like you're doing great! Rock it, girl!!

                      Plsmachic... you're rocking things too, aren't you? Forget that "obese" thing and keep doing what you're doing!! And by the way... great new pic!!

                        I was excited to get out of the "obese" category last month, but you leave it to get into the high end of overweight. Didn't do a whole lot for my ego to be merely very overweight after losing 27 pounds to get there. Screw labels.

                          I haven't lost a think since the doctors office visit last week I think a combination of the stress from the dietitian and the new diabetes meds may be to blame. I am not showing diddly on the ketostix either. Just need to focus a bit more and get to regular exercise. I went to the YMCA last night and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes at 3.5 MPH at automatically varied inclines. I'm afraid to do too much but equally afraid of doing far too little.

                            Just checking in. Sounds like everyone is having a good week. I lost 1 lb and 1 inch. I was hoping for 2 lbs to put me in the 170's. Oh well, next week it is. Had a stressful week and know I didn't eat enough. I just wasn't hungry. That is still amazing to me at times, that I have to make myself eat instead of ravaging thru the cupboards and frig!
