I have seen a few posts on here stating that all we need to count when on atkins is NET carbs. However, even though the atkins 'Indulge' bars only contain 2 g of net carbs, they are not to be consumed during induction.
I have done 2 weeks of induction, finishing last friday. Had a social occasion that I couldnt avoid over the weekend and so ate carbs on sat and sunday, totally not worth it. Decided to do a new induction on Monday, however was consuming 1 atkins bar (Indulge) a day, but still making sure that my net carbs were under 20 g a day. I had no joy in entering ketosis for 4 days. It wasn't until I cut out the Atkins bars that i successfully entered ketosis on day 5. Never want to come out of it again hahaha. So my question is....im confused....if the 'Indulge' bars only contribute 2 g of net carbs and if im making sure that my net carbs are under 20 g, shouldnt their consumption NOT hinder entering ketosis?
I don't get why we need to 'try' to see if they work for us or not.
