:wave Hey I'm soooo glad you are here!!!! You will do very well, I'm in my 5th day of induction. Lost 5 thus far, but I'm not to look at the scale, its my weakness, but I'm working on it. I have to stay away from artificial sweetners myself, because my carb of choice was sugar, so watch for what your weakness is so you'll be well aware to steer clear from anything that is close to it, that would be my advice. If I did give in to it my drawback will be hunger and cravings. So with that said good luck and I'll see you around later. Not to sound rushed but I gotta get outta here. :hug Take it easy

Hi tripple :wave
Make sure you not only weigh yourself but measure and even take front, back and side pictures of yourself. I really wish I had taken pictures at the start because I would have had a much better sense of what is happening to my body.
You may go through a few nasty days but stick with it and after two weeks you'll be bouncing off the walls with energy.
I wish you a really positive and successful journey :hug

Hello tripple :wave
We look forward to sharing your Atkins adventure with you :hug
Have you made plans for your next few days menus? If possible clear the kitchen of all non-induction foods and make sure you have lots of legal snacks for the times temptation starts to call your name!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Welcome! :wave
It's ok to nervous, remember all of use here whether we've lost 1 pound or 200 all took that initial, life changing first step that your taking tomorrow.
Remember, how important it is to prepare yourself, like they say "preparation is everything" so read the 2002 version of the book "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution" known simply as DANDR. Remember it's an invaluable tool you can refer to every day, it's your real key to success so use it to your benefit until the pages are so worn you can't read the type!
You can give yourself a real head start towards success by sticking your fridge up with Atkins Induction Phase Friendly Foods - you can print out the list right from this site. As for your carb and sugar "frankenfoods" consider giving them away to friends, family or food banks.
Out of sight = out of mind = out of mouth!
Follow the rules, d a clean by the book induction and you won't believe the miraculous changes that await you. As always the wonderful folks here from the world over are here to support you, encourage and guide you in every way we possibly can.
Welcome Aboard!
Peter

not just pictures, but also measure your inches now! get yourself a tape measure. I didn't have one before I started induction and I'm regretting it a little because I know I've lost inches.. just don't know how many.
