  • L Carnitine

Does anyone else take this? does it work for you?

I started taking this and did not think it was doing anything, so upped it to 2 tablets twice a day (2 days ago) and this morning I am 1lb down on the scales - I think my weight loss stall is over but don't want to jinx myself.

I also changed from eating 2nd list veg to mostly 1st list veg and only having tomato from the second list (2 days ago) in an attempt to get the lb's moving.

Could I really be that resistant that I can't really eat the higher carb veges? I am thinking that is what may have stalled the lb's moving (remember I have lost heaps fo cm's though - over the 4 weeks)
    Boobs were 118cm, now 114cm
    Waist was 118cm, now 101cm
    Hips were 120cm, now 115

What ever I have done - if it is upping the dose of L Carnitine or removing the 2nd list veg (except for tomatoes), something is working...

    2/23/09 - 86.2 (189.6) - 2.9kg (6.3)
    2/27/09 - 85.0 (187.0) - 4.1kg (9.02)
3/16/09 starting OWL because I have stalled

    Re: L Carnitine

You are at the stage where many people stall for several weeks for no reason. It's kind of as if your body is deciding what to do. I doubt the carnitine caused your weight loss. I think you just are in the typical Post Induction stall and have to wait it out. Chances are it has nothing to do with which vegetables you are eating. They weren't a problem earlier in Induction so that would not change. You are in the strange time when your body needs to shake itself up and "I guess she really means it--this is how we are going to be fed from now on" When it is ready it will decide to come along for the ride and you will start losing again. You can't force it. Just keep on the program and sooner or later your whoosh will come.

    HW 298
    HW (this time) 248
    GOAL ONE 228
    (take 2)
    GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
    GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

Jill is probably right your body is readjusting itself - you did say you are losing centimetres so you ARE losing still.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
