  • Every pound for me is a celebration!!! (3 more to go)

First off - I've got THREE MORE POUNDS to go until I'm back in the 170's!!!!!
THAT is MY "onderland" - you know - that decade you always associate with really knowing you've lost weight - well mine is the 170's. I weighed in at 182 today and I want to celebrate!!!!

I'm pretty much only losing MAYBE about 1 - 1.5 pounds a week - which I know IS healthy and good. And granted - I've said so many times on this board before that my name should be turtle, because - compared to others - I'm not the normal "atkineer" that lost 20 pounds the first month - and in fact it's been 12 weeks (2.5 months) and "all" I've lost is 14 pounds...

but seriously - EVERY single pound lost for me IS a celebration. I work out. I eat right (now that I know what "eating right" really means) - and I DO deserve every single pound I lose - even if it only IS one a week and not 5 like some people can pull off.

It just absolutely amazes me though that I've FINALLY found a way of eating/lifestyle change that I seriously CAN stick to for the rest of my life and NOT feel depraved in any way or feel like I need to try hard - it's SO freakin' easy to do I can't even describe it - AND I'M HAPPY!!! I no longer feel like i'm trying to "find" that diet that works, because I'VE FOUND IT!

I've gotten rid of 14 pounds FOREVER and here's to the next 22.

thank you so much!!!!! i really *need* you and everyone else here on the board for small celebrations like this. this board is almost like my "sponsor" when I need encouragement and help to keep going.

and i've been around - i've just not been on nearly as much as i've been trying to cut my internet time down...my fiance hates the fact that i spend so much time on my laptop at night - so i've been trying to keep it down. lol

Kerianne, I am so proud of you.

I am losing at about the same rate you are, so I know how hard-earned those pounds are.

I do think they will stay off a lot easier since you are losing slower.

        CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

We're the one club today!!! I dropped one pound also this week...which surprises me somewhat because I'm really trying to start out walking and end jogging. I used to run and I loved it. The back injury though, doesn't agree with too much running. Maybe as I take off more weight, my spine will stop arguing with me and agree that running is the way to go!!

Keep up the great work, ladies!! We're gonna be hot!!

Congratulations! You are so patient and dedicated! I am proud of you! You will reach your goal and will be a beautiful bride.

I had to laugh at this little snippet from your post! Is that a Freudian slip or does Atkins cure depravity?

NOT feel depraved in any way
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
