We started a week ago and I was just wondering how long before we should see any results. I have heard of so many different things that people how do I know if we are doing the right thing I printed receipts of the home page of Atkins on the induction stage but what kinds of things is everyone else eating in this stage.

Weight loss depends on a number of things: your age, your sex, your start weight, etc. On Atkins it also depends on how well you are following the diet.
In general, you can expect to lose 5-10% of the weight you want to lose during the first 14 Days. So a person with a 10 pound weight loss goal can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. And a person with a 100 pound weight loss goal can expect to lose 5-10 pounds.
As for what to eat, I just ate the foods that I liked on the Induction Acceptable Foods List.

Re: The induction stage
Just be careful as some of the recipes (receipts) on the Atkins company website are not really induction-legal according to the ingredients in them, so do make sure by checking them with the allowed list of induction foods in Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002.
Or you can copy the list from the list of induction foods in our Frequently Asked Questions forum.

Re: The induction stage
I did just like Megs -- ate whatever I fancied from the list of acceptable foods. I think it is very important to learn how to plan your meals, without exactly following the menus in the book or the menus you can find online. This is probably not essential during Induction, but it will become so as you move to OWL.Originally posted by native hottie View Postwhat kinds of things is everyone else eating in this stage.
Beside weighing, it is a good idea to take measurement too. Sometimes we lose inches even when the scale is stubborn.

Re: The induction stage
I just looked at the acceptable foods and bought everything I liked on the list.
One day I would have eggs and chorizo for breakfast, eggs and tuna for lunch, a steak with a salad for dinner. Another day I would do fried eggs and bacon for breakfast, ceaser salad for lunch and have 2 small cheese burgers for dinner. I would just make the patties, put cheese on them and then add mayo and tabasco sauce. I would also try to eat a string cheese during the day. With about 100 oz of water thrown in lol.
