  • Roll Call 4/4/09 Saturday!!!

    Thank goodness for weekends!! So happy it's Saturday! Hope you're all doing well and are on plan!!

    I'm going to work inside and outside the house all day! I will struggle as the left hand has the injured thumb that's still pretty useless and the right hand is bruised and hurt from the middle finger to the pinky!! Me, clumsy?? No way!

    Wanna weigh today but I'm still debating about it. It's been a week but ToM is still lurking so I know the number will make me frown no matter what!!

    Everyone shoot for a perfect on plan day with the right foods, more than enough water and exercise thrown in there. Have a great one!!!

    Be careful today - I don't want to hear of any more injuries!!!
    I would avoid the scales. It's an evil monster and can seriously demotivate you... I have just put mine in the cupboard for another week. I am going to carry on the challenge in Sherri's challenge. Weekly weighing is the way to go - I definitely didn't fret as much last week.

      Good moring everyone! I know I've been gone for a few days and need to catch up on some roll calls from the past few days. These were the first days I've missed roll call since December. I hope everyone is doing well.

      I have had a rough week. The biblical rains that hit our area this week flooded my car and damaged my roof. Apparenly due to some design flaw, my volkswagen's battery compartment can fill with water if it rains hard enough and then it empties into the car. I got in my car to go to work on Wednesday and there was probably 8 inches of water standing in it. The seats were dry, but the electronics were all fried. Since it's paid off, I only carry liability insurance. I got it dried out, but it still has some issues. My roof leaks and my daughter's ceiling started coming down. I need to get a new roof. Since my house is 15 years old, it's coming out of my pocket. My pockets are empty.

      I guess personal/financial disaster is good for the diet though. I have been 194.2 - 194.4 the last few mornings. I wouldn't recommend this way of losing weight though. I'd prefer beer and steaks.

      I'm headed into work, it's great to be back with everyone.

        Well, well, well TJ!!! You're back! The few of us regulars that were left here were wondering what happened to you!! So sorry to hear about your car and the roof! Double whammy! That's tough to deal with! I'm missing several shingles myself from those storms. Must get them fixed before I have the same problem! Glad to hear you're hanging in there anyway! Have a great day at work!

          I am procrastinating this morning - BIGTIME - it's going to rain today and I should be out walking/running before it starts.. I just keep stalling .

          TJ Nice to see you back - I'm sorry to hear of your weather related disasters at home. We had something similar happen here last year - it was stressful and came at the absolutely wrong time financially - but we made it through.

          Ever & Zara I was doing the no weigh challenge as well and was not exactly overwhelmed with joy this morning when I weighed in I thought for sure I would have broken into Onederland! I lost a total of 0lbs in the past 8 days.. LOL I am exactly where I started last Saturday!

          Ok Enough procrastinating - I am headed out for my walk/run. Have a wonderful day all

            Good Morning everyone..

            Sorry TJ about all the financial crap hitting you all at once.. I would surely get someone to look at that roof though and see if there has been any damage to it that might get it covered by insurance.. Like have you had hail recently?

            The weather here yesterday was gorgeous...76 and sunny.. Today its suppose to be the same... I am going shopping with my daughter..she needs shoes for her ring dance.. I don't know why these kids don't have dances in Jeans and T-shirts like we did.. they have to get all dressed up..

            I didn't get the job Very discouraged over that.. I felt this one was mine.. I am sick of applying for jobs and not getting them...

            I took a sneak peek on the scale and man is it being stubborn this month.. I haven't cheated at all....and I lost 12 the first week...1 the second...2 the third...and this week 0..well that is until tomorrow it could change..

              I'm definitely on board with y'all this morning. I, too, want to take my scale out in the woods and put several .380 rounds in it. Sigh. According to mine, I've gained six pounds in four days. wow.

              You know my normal Weigh Day is Monday but I'm leaving tomorrow for Spring Break and I thought I'd weigh today.

              Oh, wait, it may be that time of the month..... STILL!

                I slept in this morning for some much needed sleep. I have the house to myself & plan on enjoying the quietness! Looks like it is going to rain so I'll use the treadmill.

                  Good Morning,

                  Been drinking over a gallon of water and tea every day. For the first 5 days I was going to the bathroom every hour or so. Starting yesterday not so much at all. What's happening? Is my body starting to adjust to that amount of fluids everyday? I don't know....

                  Maybe my kidneys are shutting down.....

                    Eric, when I started drinking ridiculous amount of water, I went to the bathroom at least every hour for the hours I was awake. After awhile, I think your bladder realizes it's now normal and it calms down. Either that, or we've stretched it out....not sure which but you're ok!!

                      Morning all!!!
                      I hit the twenty pound mark today! Since March 2nd I've gone from 203 to 183 as of this morning. Score! I have people at work complimenting me daily, it's a great feeling! If i keep this up, i'm going to need to have my wedding dress brought in! LOL.
                      I seem to be losing the most weight/inches from my waist and hips. can't seem to get the flab off my arms! Despite thousands of excersises and workouts... HELP! ANY SUGGESTIONS?!?!

                        You are going to have to work your triceps to get rid of the arm flab. I would recommend sitting in a chair and using whatever weight you can do 20 repetitions with (try 5 lbs first). Raise the weight over your head, and bend your elbow to lower the weight behind your head. Lift the weight back up over your head. After 20, switch arms. Try to do 3 sets of 20 with each arm with no rest in between sets.
