  • Just finished week 2

I started two weeks ago, and week one was AMAZING! I lost ten pounds! Unfortunately, I did not take my measurements at the beginning, but DID take them last Monday on my official weigh in day. Today's weigh in was a little disappointing after last week because I only lost 3 pounds, BUT I have lost 7 1/2 inches this week! I am religiously doing my workout every day and have gone back to wearing my pedometer. (I try to get a minimum of 12000 steps per day). I read this board daily for a dose of inspiration!

I went to Red Lobster this week and managed to avoid the hot biscuits!

I am 5'7"ish. I am hoping to reach at least CLOSE to my goal by Memorial Day for my daughter's graduation pool party! I am actually starting to look forward to swimsuit shopping! That would be a first for me in too many years.

          Great work, Robin
Are you moving to OWL now, as you have a low resistance to weightloss according to the chart in DANDR?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

I think I will stay on induction for an additional week since I only lost 3 pounds this past week...

Check out the chart in Chapter 13 of DANDR which will tell you your resistance to weightloss according to the weight lost in the whole 2 weeks.

As your losses in those 2 weeks do not exhibit high resistance to weightloss then I doubt you will benefit from staying on induction any longer

Thank you for the advice! I will definitely re-read Chapter 13 and decide from there! This is my first attempt at Atkins and I will be the first to admit that I'm an amateur! I appreciate any help I can get!

Great job! Trust me, a lot of people in the world wished they lost 3 lbs last week!

Just keep doing what you are doing and you'll get to that goal and you'll feel and look great. Don't be discouraged if you go a week or two without losing weight because you'll definitely be losing inches.
