    Hey! Where is everyone?? And did we find TJ yet????

    Today is my birthday so I stopped in Starbucks for coffee on my way to work. My big treat. Woo hoo.

    I'm 39 today and I weigh about 10 pounds more than I did on my 20th birthday. When I factor in the whole weight gainfrom giving up smokes last year, I'm pretty happy with that. Although, I'd hate to know the number of pounds that I've gained/lost the past 19 years. Jeez.

      Morning!! Morning!! Morning!! And yes, it's goooooooooood!! Down a pound yesterday and one more today!! 170-something...here I come!! Reminder to self...tweak NOTHING right now! I can't believe it isn't getting harder right now! Must find my CCLL before it's too late! Have a great one, everybody!

      OH!! And could one of you come slap the heck outta my teenager? If I have to hear him complain about anything else this morning because he can't get out of bed on time, I'm gonna..........

              Good morning everyone!

              Happy Birthday Kelly! It must be a good feeling to be only 10 lbs above your 20 year old weight. Man I know that I am definitely 30+ pounds over my weight from 20. That translates to 3 lbs of weight gain a year!

              As for me, I'm doing good still clean on Induction. I am going away out of town from Friday to Tuesday though. I'm hoping the hotel I'm staying at has a mini fridge, that way I can pack Induction safe lunches and dinner. I'm brining my George Forman grill with me, so I can cook my meats in the hotel room. I can't really afford to eat out everyday while I'm in TX. I am excited to see my husband though so it's worth the trip. The whole trip cost 308 that includes hotel and the plane ride home. I'm bringing my husband his car. He just passed his AIT phase so he can have it. It's going to be a long drive.

              I'm going to eat breakfast either at their D-FAC (dining facility) or at waffle house, that's the cheapest place where I could find bacon and eggs. I can eat there in the mornings. I'm bringing along my lap top so I can do my Taebo and T-tapp at the hotel. I am determined to get this weight off. I don't want a few days of vacation to derail everything.

              I realize that I can eat beef, but I have to chew it very slowly. If I don't it registers as a gain until it passes through me, and if I don't chew it extremely well that can be a few days, so I have to remember that. I had beef last night and I registered a gain in weight. Not much, only .5 but that's going to be there until the beef decides it wants to make an exit. Tonight for dinner I'm having salmon. I've had chicken, and beef, now I want fish.

              8 Days of a clean induction. I'm hoping for 9! So far so good.

                Just woke up, finding some breakfast - good morning!
                What I do:
                Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
                At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
                2 filtered containers water/day
                Daily salads/veggies


                Goals:

                Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
                Workout in a XXXL shirt
                - DONE!
                Workout in a XXL shirt
                Workout in a XL shirt
                270 on the scales

                  Hey Focus, I got rid of the scales, too, thanks to Jess and I haven't missed them a bit. June 1 is my next Weigh Day (if I decide to do it.)

                  I'm comfortably in a 12 now and my hip bones are a bit more noticeable. That makes me want to get on the scale for some verification but NONONO.

                  Mentally, I feel a lot better staying away from the scale. It's hard to explain. Just weird.

                    Morning All!

                    I woke up late this morning, so ran out the door without breakfast or lunch. Then I got to work and have been feverishly working to get a proposal out the door all morning in order to meet the deadline. That's done now and I'm STARVING. I haven't eaten yet today and it's 11:30. So, I'm heading downstairs to grab some hard boiled eggs. Lunch will be a big ole salad a little later. Pre-workout snack will be cheese. Dinner is fish and veggies. Feeling empowered that I can still stay OP even when there's a kink in the morning. I also took my measurements last night, which was horrifying, but I'm hoping I'll be happy to see the inches melt off even what the pounds are being stubborn.

                      Happy Tuesdays STAC'ers
                      Another glorious day in Anchorage. I went to bed early and slept well. I feel better today or I did until I put my upper back out this morning while making breakfast. I don't think it is truely out, but I did pinch a nerve between my shoulder blades OMG it hurts like I have been having a muscle spasm in the same place for the last couple of weeks so I shouldn't be surprised.

                      I will be moving slow today, and I may not get my exercise in.

                        As for me...this new water pill is junk...I swear it's not doing anything except making me feel like crap and retain water like a champ. I'm up 6 pounds now since friday. I called the doc yesterday and asked if I could up the dose...which they approved today AFTER I left for work so I couldn't take another pill today, so I should be up a solid 10 pounds by tomorrow morning. Nice...I should put away the scale until this levels out except that it's really entertaining to see just how fast I can pack on the pounds because of a stupid little pill. Seriously...this can't be good for my heart! Grrrrr.

                        Maybe I'll drink some caffinated diet cola today to move some fluids along. Is that a stupid idea? What else is a known diuretic? (besides atkins...I'm already doing that...lol).

                        It's my co-workers birthday today...so I'm really hoping we are gonna take her out to lunch because I didn't pack a whole heck of a lot. I have a hankerin for some hotwings. I might have to get some to-go from outback for dinner, they don't open till 4pm. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna try that recipe for Linda's spinach lasagna...just don't have time to do it tonight, but it sounds delicous.

                        Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                          Just a quick check in. Day 14 for me, can't wait to get on the scale tomorrow AM to see my total loss. I plan to go extended induction for atleast 2 more weeks.

                            Happy Birthday, Kelly!!! (What kinda coffee did you get?)

                            Had been feeling a bit "out of control" (not cheating, but definitely eating more than comfortably full) and am only on (full) Day #5 today, so I gave myself a quick pep talk, agreed to cut out artificial sweeteners (no Coke Zero or Crystal Light--- which seem to be triggers to over eat) and recommitted myself.

                            Started drinking unsweetened green tea (found it in bottles at my local superstore) and am feeling better already.

                            Woot!

                              Good Morning! Just got back from a walk on the river trail with a good friend who likes to walk fast, so I've had a great work-out. It will be close to 100 degrees today so its good to get that in early. Must remember to drink more water! Happy Birthday Kelly! Have a great day all! Eva
