  • Introducing Alexis (A.K.A. I'mGoingDown)

    Hi guys!

My name is Alexis. And I wish I could say that I'm excited to be here, but I'm not. I'm back after years. I did Atkins about 8 years ago and due to some poor decisions and difficult circumstances, I'm back. But, I will say this...I know that this WOL works and I'm happy to get on track and stay there! I have put on too much weight over the past 10 years and I'm done!!! So, I'm just ready to get down to business.

I'm not sure what my goal weight is really. I've never wanted to be "thin," just "hot." I mean on fire hot! So, here's to 165lbs or a size 10--whichever comes first. I figure I can reevaluate my goal when I'm closer. Right now, I'm dangerously close to 300lbs (over it according to some scales, but I'm using my WW scale that I have at home for the sake of consistency). This evening I weighed in at 299.2 (size 24 pant/22 dress/shirt). I'm not even going to do the math on how much I have to lose! I'm just taking it one day at a time! One good choice at a time.

Welcome. I want to tell you that I started at 300 and a size 26 and have lost 70 and more or less kept it off for 5 years by living low carb. I am now moving into losing the other half and have the same goal that you have. a fit size 10 at around 165 would be perfect. You can do this and once you start to see the success you will feel better and be happy about where you are headed instead of feeling depressed about where you are/were.

    GOAL ONE 228
    (take 2)
    GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
    GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

          Hi Alexis. Welcome back.
I wish I could send you some of my enthusiasm. I still have some after 1 and a half year with Atkins.

              Re: Introducing Alexis (A.K.A. I'mGoingDown)

Well let's see - I was thin up until I had my children back in the 80's. Up and down and it seems 5 lbs each year and now here I am.......how did I get here? I am so glad I found this site while looking up if I could eat chicken skin from my chicken wings tonight.

I started Atkin's this week on Wednesday ~ I had lost 11 pounds back in January while we were gone then came home and back into the old habits and so it and more came on...........

Everyone that is losing and posting really gets you excited - thank you all for sharing. I plan to be on here daily.
